Handover-clean and hygienic are different things. Even when a Dubai property looks presentable at key handover, you're inheriting the previous occupant's biological traces: skin residue and hair in carpet fibres, grease film in the kitchen, soap scum and limescale in bathrooms, dust and possibly mold spores in the AC system, and whatever lives inside cabinets and wardrobes you haven't opened yet.
The empty window between keys and furniture is a one-time opportunity: with no furniture in the way, every square metre is reachable — inside all cabinets and wardrobes, behind appliance spaces, full floors, and every wall. Once the moving truck arrives, that access is gone for years.

Pre move-in cleaning in Dubai costs from AED 499 for apartments and from AED 999 for villas. It should happen after you receive keys and before furniture delivery — an empty property allows deep cleaning of every surface, inside every cabinet, and the AC vents that circulated the previous occupant’s air.

Handover cleaning is done to pass inspection, not for the next family’s hygiene. Inside cabinets, AC vents and deep limescale are routinely untouched. You only get the empty-property window once.
It’s the single smartest add-on: the ducts circulated the previous occupant’s air for years, and cleaning them is easiest in an empty property. Package rates when combined.
