Dubai carpets face a unique enemy: ultra-fine desert sand. It works its way to the carpet backing where vacuum suction can't reach, grinding against fibres every time someone walks across — which is why Dubai carpets wear out faster and look dull sooner than carpets anywhere else.
Hot-water extraction (steam) is the only method that flushes this deep-set sand out. Water heated to 140°C+ is injected under pressure into the pile and immediately extracted, carrying sand, dust mite debris, bacteria and stains with it. Shampoo methods leave sticky residue that attracts dirt back within weeks; basic dry-cleaning only refreshes the surface. That's why we lead with extraction — and reserve low-moisture methods for delicate rugs (Persian, silk, wool) where water would damage the fibres or colours.
